Without the help of all those involved from Parehua the weekend would not have gone so smoothly and been such a success. Right from the start we knew we had chosen the right venue. From our very first visit we were in awe of the surroundings, which are so beautiful, right through to the way both yourselves and other staff handled our questions and queries and did all you could to assist us to make this day possible. We very much appreciated the way you worked with the caterers, the musician and everyone else involved, taking much of the stress off the family. We especially appreciated your efforts on the Sunday, which was totally unplanned, but you went out of your way to make this a success also. So often wedding functions end when the band finishes and people go home but the Sunday was a great way for us to say ‘goodbye and thanks’ in relaxed surroundings. Maree and Chris have said there was not one thing they would have changed about the whole day and the smiles on their faces said it all. We had so many compliments about the venue and the accommodation and everyone agreed with us that we could not have chosen better. Once again, a big ‘thanks’ to everyone involved from Parehua for helping us make this day so memorable.”

“What can we say other than Parehua gave us the perfect wedding?! From the moment we met with Mike and Lois, we knew our day was in the best of hands. We loved the trips over the hill in the months leading up to the wedding weekend, and we felt confident and comforted by their friendliness and professionalism. The villas are absolutely stunning…the views are idyllic…the staff are incredibly personable…the service is impeccable…and the atmosphere is inviting.
Parehua is both unpretentious and eloquent at the same time – a dichotomy very rarely captured by any business. Everyone who was a part of our wedding felt like they were at home from the moment they arrived until we sadly said our goodbyes.
Everything about the wedding reception was set up and managed flawlessly…and the next day, after our painstaking wine tour and rounds of golf, it was so nice to come back to the Estate, lay on the grass, go for a swim, hit a few tennis balls and have a crack at backyard cricket while sharing a lovely Kiwi bbq meal and wine with our family, friends and fantastic hosts.
People are still going on about our wedding, and how it was the best they had ever been to…a testament to Parehua Martinborough Country Estate.
If we could do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a thing, and if we could move in, we would!”
